'A POETIC FABLE OF HUMAN RESILIENCE AND BEAUTY'

FRONT ROW CENTER - HOLLI HARMS

healing mined

a magical exploration of grief through storytelling, dance, and music

HEALING MINED is a play that blends live music, dance, and surreal vignettes to explore a father and son's path through grief, identity, and reconciliation. With mythic figures, dreamlike staging, and a telescope aimed not at the stars but at buried dreams, HEALING MINED transforms loss into a meditation on resilience, hope, and the enduring power of family.

'An ALLURING TALE OF LOVE  & LOSS'

After the sudden death of his wife, Gonzalo

a middle-aged immigrant and successful business owner—falls into a spiral of grief that lands him in a mental institution, where he spends his days speaking to her ashes and retreating into vivid dreams, memories, and fairy tales.

His adult son, torn between his own artistic ambitions and responsibility to the family business, visits him in hopes of bringing him home and helping him heal.

As fantasy and reality blur, HEALING MINED becomes a lyrical journey through memory, myth, and emotional reckoning—The piece invites audiences to confront the stigma around mental health and grief, offering a shared sense of hope and belonging for those who have ever felt alone.
